With 18 medals, Reunion does better than previous years in the General Agricultural Competition organized on the occasion of the Agricultural Show. The jam makers return from Paris covered with honor with no less than 10 medals, including three gold ones awarded to Prema Patche for its banana jam with passion fruit and papaya jam with vanilla, as well as Bernard Savreux for his lychee jam with passion fruit. In the “vanilla” category, the Domaine de Bellevue, in St. Louis, also won a gold medal. Just like Maison Isautier for its “Arhumatik” Victoria pineapple punch. In this alcohol section, Charles Nagou wins silver for his Passion punch, just like Rivière du Mât for its coconut punch. Reunion beekeepers are also rewarded for their efforts. They come back with 4 medals, including 3 for Bernard Savreux with his creamy lychee honey (or), its pink berry honey and its red tan honey (argent), while Miel de Bourbon wins silver for its lychee honey.
