What seemed, a few years ago, welcome and original initiatives, but isolated, is becoming a real trend in Reunion : services and itinerant businesses reaching out to people far from everything, especially in the Hauts, multiply. A first example is given by the Mobile Frozen Islands, which offer an innovative concept of a mobile store and home delivery of frozen products. Inspired by the successes of Picard and Thiriet in mainland France, Mobile Frozen Island brings convenience, the variety and quality of frozen products directly into Reunionese homes, even in areas that are difficult to access.
“We firmly believe in the importance of personalized and attentive service, and we are committed to providing a pleasant and memorable customer experience. » This profession of faith from Christophe Aigueperse, president of the company Ilôt Surgelé, is fully realized in the Mobile Frozen Islands, refrigerated home delivery vans, currently two in number, one in the North and one in the South. “No more queuing in stores or traveling long distances to find your favorite frozen products. Simply place the order by phone or email, and our delivery team takes care of bringing the frozen products directly to your door. You save time and you can enjoy quality products without leaving your home.”, welcomes Christophe Aigueperse. While the Ilôt Surgelé network now has twelve stores, it is in local itinerant sales that the company sees an avenue for development. Sell frozen foods differently by reaching out to customers who are unable to travel to stores, located in the Bas with the exception of Ilot Surgelé du Guillaume and Trois-Bassins.
An à la carte service to the most remote areas
To develop this service, Ilôt Surgelé relied on years of door-to-door sales which made its offering known and appreciated even in the most remote corners of the island.. The company thus makes the brand’s vast range of frozen products accessible to everyone., ranging from fruits and vegetables to meats, Pisces, prepared meals and desserts. Without forgetting the new organic offer, vegan or gluten-free (see Leader Meeting n° 221, mars 2023). The vehicles serve even the most remote and difficult to access areas in the most remote regions of the island. “Our products are rigorously controlled at every stage, from production to delivery, to ensure a worry-free dining experience”, would also like to remind Christophe Aigueperse, which plans to put into service a third, or even a fourth Mobile Frozen Island in the years to come.
