Waste collection : Derichebourg wins Saint-Pierre and Petite-Île

Derichebourg Ocean India, which brings together Derichebourg Environnement and the Mooland group, won a major contract with Civis in October. The company will collect household waste (residual household waste, household packaging, recyclables, bulky, green waste and cardboard from professionals) of the municipalities of Saint-Pierre and Petite-Île (97 400 habitants) from January 1, 2024. This market will represent a turnover of 52 million euros over the six years of the contract.. The latter plans to open a new agency and put into service 35 new collection vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technologies. (on-board computing and peripheral vision system without any blind spots). 70 people will work on this daily service. Derichebourg Indian Ocean must also deploy the first 100% electric collection bin on the island.
