Last November 12, the young players of JS Saint-Pierroise and players of AS Jeanne d’Arc won the final of the Danone Nations Cup Réunion 2023. The two teams are preparing to take off for Paris. Visit to emblematic football locations and matches are on the program for this Parisian week.
The Danone Nations Cup is brought to our island by Danone Réunion in partnership with the Réunion Football League. Nearly 2,000 children participated in the tournament last year. The two winning teams, girls and boys, i.e. 24 children, won a trip to Paris. The latter will take place from February 29 to March 6. The 24 marmay first discovered the program of this trip a few days before, accompanied by their parents, at the Danone du Port factory. They took the opportunity to visit the factory, who participates in the organization of the event. In the program, discovering the most beautiful monuments of Paris from the Seine by riverboat before attending a professional match between Paris FC and AS Saint-Étienne at the Charlety stadium. It will then be their turn to put on the crampons to, the day after, face the young people of Paris FC in a friendly match, before visiting the Stade de France. The next day, head to the AJ Auxerre training center, where young people will spend the day. Another highlight of the trip, a visit to a legendary football venue, the Clairefontaine training center. Back in Paris, both teams will be able to visit and benefit from the facilities of the Paris FC training center. Via this unique competition format, Danone clearly displays its desire to offer dreams to children. More than sport, the Danone Nations Cup is an educational event which allows the transmission of values such as a taste for effort, respect for others, solidarity and collective strength.
