The City of Saint-Benoît and the CDC Habitat group concluded a memorandum of understanding on April 11 for the sale of the municipality's shares in Semac (Mixed economy development and construction company), on the occasion of the trip of Anne-Sophie Grave, president of the board of directors of CDC Habitat, in the meeting. “This operation will enable a new dynamic for Semac, to strengthen its development and provide financial and operational support in all its construction and renovation operations”, specifies the group. CDC Habitat becomes reference shareholder of the mixed economy company, at the height of 32,91 %, alongside the Caisse des Dépôts and local authorities. Saint-Benoît remains in the capital and on the board of directors of Semac, of which she will retain the presidency. At the end of 2022, Semac managed 5,506 housing units, a fleet growing by 10% over the last eighteen months. More than 80% of this heritage is located in the territory of Cirest, mainly in social housing. Last year, it started construction on 292 housing units and delivered 358 housing units.
