In 2022, Bpifrance La Réunion-Mayotte supported 746 companies to the tune of 286 million euros, making it possible to mobilize 618 million euros in public and private financing. 127 million euros were injected into 174 companies to finance development projects, i.e. a 9% growth in medium and long-term financing. Guarantee activity, which facilitates access to credit for VSEs and SMEs by covering part of the banking risk (from 40% to 60%) has fallen, but the number of beneficiary companies increased by 19%. 48 companies in Reunion Island also benefited from support from Bpifrance (6 million euros in financing) to develop their innovation projects, modernize their technological equipment, or to increase their production capacity in France. Bpifrance also supported the recovery of local businesses following the health crisis. The Feder React EU rebound loan system made it possible to mobilize nearly 10 million euros for 81 companies.
