Three months after signing the Price Quality Shield price moderation agreement, occurred on November 2, 2022, on February 9, the prefecture published a first assessment of the control of the brands that apply it. The least positive point concerns the availability and presence of BQP+ products on the shelves.. According to the brands, the rupture rate varies between 14% and 27%. Difficulties linked to disruptions in international trade mainly explain this high rate, according to the prefecture. “Some brands seem to be more rigorous in the management of their supply and the placing of products on the shelves”, insists the prefectural note which also highlights an improvement in the marking of BQP+ products, in particular thanks to the installation at the store entrance of a harmonized poster presenting the 153 products in the “anti-inflation” basket by department. Discussions continued, end of February, on the expansion of the system to other sectors, especially automotive spare parts and DIY items.
