Chinese forklift manufacturer Baoli, subsidiary of the German group Kion, presents a new series of electric forklifts which will be deployed in Europe, in the Middle East and Africa.
In a context of environmental sensitivity and mixed indoor and outdoor use, electric motorization is becoming increasingly important. To meet this growing demand, Baoli has just developed a new range of electric trolleys. KBE 25 models, 30 and 35 have a capacity of 2,5 t, 3 t and 3,5 t. Their strength 
of work comes from 80 V lead-acid batteries, with a capacity of 360 to 450 Ah for models 2,5 t and from 500 to 600 Ah for the 3 t and 3 models,5 t. Maintenance-free lithium-ion batteries will also be available soon. “Our new KBE series covers all standard applications in material handling. In terms of quality and reliability, we set new standards in our market segment, offering our users, for an affordable price, all the performance criteria required for their activity”, explains Olivier Le Bozec, national sales manager for the Baoli brand.
Multiple equipment options
The redesigned and improved mast, with a height of up to 6,500 millimeters, provides the operator with excellent visibility of the load and its environment. In the same spirit, the Soft Landing safety function automatically reduces the descent speed from a ground height of 100 millimeters. The new series also features the latest generation of Kion controls, of electric motors, high-quality hydraulic components and a clear, ergonomic dashboard. By simply selecting a driving program, the operator can choose between economical operation,high efficiency or high performance. New diagnostic tools developed for this series can be used via a simple application from any standard smartphone, further improving ease of use. Each trolley in the series is available with open protective roof, glass or polycarbonate roof, as well as with front and rear windshield or full cabin. The devices offer the possibility of later modification in the event of changing needs.
A new high-tech production site
The new KBE series is manufactured in a new production plant in Jinan (province du Shandong), the fifth Chinese production site of the Kion group, which is headquartered in Frankfurt, in Germany. The dimensions of these new facilities underline the growth ambitions that Kion has for the Baoli brand : the production area alone covers nearly 223,000 square meters, i.e. 31 football fields ! Baoli is a manufacturer of forklifts and warehousing equipment that operates in more than 80 countries around the world. Its acquisition in 2009 by the Kion group, one of the world leaders in the market for forklifts and supply chain solutions, allowed it constant development.
