Stated objective of this start-up : reconcile pleasure and responsibility. Already offering six teas and infusions for sale, the start-up launched its first iced citrus mate at the end of last year.
In France, 15,000 tonnes of tea are thrown away on average each year, not to mention the packaging that, most of the time, are made of single-use plastic. It is from this observation that Camille Douay started to found Absoluthé, young French shoot born in 2018, hosted by the Technopole de l’Aube. Joined later by his partner David Snanoudj, Camille Douay has set herself the objective of reducing food waste and participating in waste reduction. Absoluthé offers organic teas and infusions ground into fine powder to be completely soluble in water. An ancestral transformation process, inspired by the grinding of traditional Japanese matcha tea and brought up to date. Absoluthé products are 100% organic and zero waste. A French wooden measuring spoon allows you to instantly prepare your drink.
Iced citrus mate
Absoluthé innovates with this very first iced citrus mate. Refreshing in the heat, mate also brings a touch of energy to the drink. It is married here to a mixture of lemon, bergamot and timur berry which brings notes of grapefruit. For this frozen mate, just two spoons of powder, a little water and mix to dissolve everything well, before topping off with a little cool water and ice cubes as needed for more chills.
A recognized start-up
Absoluthé’s organic and tasty teas and infusions have recently obtained several distinctions. The Jury's Favorite prize in the Corporate Innovation category of the Epicures competition organized by Le Monde de l'Epicerie Fine, specialized media for professionals. The “Drinks” price – prize awarded by a technical jury, judging the flavor of products – et l’Award d’Or- the highest distinction in all categories – of the Innovafood competition which promotes healthier eating, more natural and more sustainable.
