What brands do you represent ?
We represent the STILL brands in the Indian Ocean, BAOLI and in particular EP Equipment, brand specializing in lithium-ion powered handling equipment. The particularity of EP Equipement is to offer products that work simply and of which almost all of the components are manufactured in-house., including lithium ion battery. These three brands are particularly interesting for Reunion companies. STILL has a wide choice of new intelligent assistance technologies, meeting specific customer requests, while Baoli and EP Equipement meet the handling needs of SMEs with perfectly mastered and affordable lithium technology. What materials do you distribute ?
We offer stackers, transpalettes, order pickers…, with three models of electric forklifts as flagship machines : a forklift 1,8 t ; a 3 t trolley which can be used indoors and outdoors and a 5 t trolley unique on the market due to its compact size, which allows you to perform tasks that other 5t forklifts cannot do, like unloading containers.
Some business leaders have reservations about lithium batteries because of the risk of explosion. What is your point of view ?
Lithium-ion batteries from EP Equipement, for example, are equipped with a firewall system., a short circuit which cuts off the power at the slightest malfunction. Their system, BMS (battery management system), is a technological exclusivity. It guarantees safe use of vehicles. Nothing can happen at this level. Furthermore, lithium batteries require no maintenance and last three times longer than lead acid batteries. They recharge at any time, for example during a lunch break : no need to reach a minimum charge level. Smaller and lighter than lead acid batteries, lithium batteries improve driving comfort. Less pollution, superior performance, guaranteed security, ease of operation and maintenance : lithium technology is currently the best for providing electrical energy to handling equipment.
